Application Process

Admittance to the ABA graduate program requires the successful completion of a bachelor’s degree. A minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA is required. Individuals that do not meet the GPA requirement should contact Pamela Moore for further information.

Drake University has decided to transition our in-person ABA program to an online modality. This transition will take place in 2022-23, therefore, Drake is not accepting a Fall 2022 ABA cohort.

Résumé or Curriculum Vitae

A current curriculum vitae or professional résumé is required.  Please include information regarding education, relevant current and past employment history, professional development, internships, honors, presentations, research experience, and volunteer experiences.

Statement of Interest and Goals

A statement of interest and goals (not to exceed 1,000 words) is required.  The statement should describe your reasons for wanting this degree, relevant experiences that have informed your decision to pursue this degree, and how this degree fits into your career goals.

Letters of Recommendation

Three letters of recommendation are required and should be submitted directly by the recommenders either online or emailed to pamela.moore@drake.edu.

When selecting your references, choose individuals including academic faculty and work supervisors who can attest to your potential for success in a graduate program.

Official Transcripts

Official transcripts from every college and university previously attended are required.  This includes any college credit earned, including while in high school or at a community college.

Official transcripts must be prepared and sent by the institution in question and received by Drake University in a sealed envelope or a secured .pdf file. Secured .pdf files can be submitted online. Transcripts mailed directly to the student must remain in the sealed envelope to be considered.

Testing Requirements

There are no testing requirements.  Applicants who have taken the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) are encouraged to submit their results as supplemental information to their application.
