SFARI 2011 Request for Applications

The Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI) announces its 2011 request for applications. The foundation is seeking bold and rigorous proposals for research that will lead to a deeper understanding of autism spectrum disorders, including those that would advance the search for relevant diagnostics or therapeutics.

They will consider proposals at multiple levels, including, but not limited to, studies focused on gene discovery, molecular mechanisms, circuits, anatomy, and cognition and behavior. For current SFARI investigators whose grants terminate this year, new applications must be submitted through this RFA process.
