Most Drake undergraduate students gain invaluable experience and a paycheck with off-campus internships and employment. Drake's location in Des Moines, the capital city of Iowa, offers a wide variety of work opportunities for students in their areas of study and beyond — in business, government, publishing, nonprofit organizations and much more. These internships add to the fact that 91 percent of graduates (in 2009) had a job or a graduate school placement within six months of graduation.
