LIFE AT DRAKE
Upperclass Student Housing at Drake
As a sophomore, you’ll have numerous options for on-campus living, including several upperclass residence halls. After your first two years on campus, you’ll also have the option of living in:
- Greek or theme houses
- Apartments or houses in the neighborhood surrounding campus
- The new Drake West Village, a fully-furnished, student-only apartment complex located just west of 31st Street
If you are interested in moving off campus, Drake Real Estate can help you find housing in the Drake neighborhood.
Upperclass Residence Halls
You can live on campus all four years if you choose. The following residence halls are options for upperclass students.

Goodwin-Kirk Hall
The largest residence hall on campus, Goodwin Kirk — affectionately nicknamed G-K — provides the option of suite-style living. G-K was recently converted into four-person suites. Each suite has two bedrooms with a shared common area.

Jewett Hall
Located at the heart of campus, Jewett offers traditional residence hall living for sophomores, juniors and seniors. Single, double or triple rooms are available. Jewett is one of the oldest residence halls on campus; yet it was just updated with modern amenities.

Morehouse
Morehouse is conveniently located near the library and other academic buildings. The historic Morehouse Hall is one of the original residence halls, but it recently underwent a major renovation, so the interior boasts modern, new amenities.

Ross Hall
The newly renovated Ross Hall is located near the Drake West Village — a great location for taking advantage of campus eateries and shopping. Rooms in Ross Hall are two- or four-person, apartment-style suites. Each unit has a private bathroom.
Amenities
All residence halls feature:
- Air conditioning
- Cable and wireless Internet
- Laundry rooms, equipped with eSuds. Log on to the web to find open washers and dryers in your building or receive an e-mail when your clothes are ready.
