2008 Madrigal Dinners You’ll be regaled by strolling minstrels, jugglers, dancers, and even a wench or two! The Drake Chamber Choir, conducted by Dr. Aimee Beckmann-Collier, will present the after-dinner concert. The dinners include the traditional boar’s head, wassail bowl, and flaming figgy pudding processionals, plus a meal fit for our royal guests. • The Drake Madrigal Dinners, now in their nineteenth year of performance, will be presented at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, and Sunday, December 7, in the Olmsted Center. •Tickets for this memorable evening of fun and food are $50 per person or $400 for a table of eight. Seating is limited, and the event is always a sell-out, so make your holiday plans early. The general public may make reservations on or after November 1 by calling the Drake Fine Arts Box Office at 271-3841. But your group’s reservation may be made before that time by calling 271-2841 or via email to: aimee.beckmann-collier@drake.edu. • The royal meal includes Cornish game hen, garlic mashed potatoes, spinach salad, baked apple, scones, figgy pudding, wassail, and wine. Vegetarian meals are available. Questions? Email Dr. Beckmann-Collier at: aimee.beckmann-collier@drake.edu or call 271-2841.
