Colin Young is a concert saxophonist and educator living near Des Moines. An active solo and chamber musician, Colin performs throughout the midwest and was a prizewinner at the 2010 Fischoff Chamber music competition performing with the saxophone quartet, Axius. In addition to the Fischoff prize, Axius won first prize in the Music Teachers National Association National Chamber Music Competition in Albuquerque and second prize at the North American Saxophone Alliance Quartet Competition in Athens, Georgia.
