Biomedical Research
Drug discovery industries are changing rapidly. They are integrating bioinformatics to increase their efficiency and output of new drugs. They might, for example, identify certain genes or key molecular features of a drug to take to the next stage of its development. These products are then handed off to experimental groups for screening and therapeutic testing. These industries thus recruit biochemists and molecular biologists with attention to bioinformatics skills. Recruiters look for strong scientific credentials but also for teamwork, people skills and communication skills.
Biomedical and Biological Research Professionals evaluate the properties of various living organisms in order to investigate their applications to medicine and other industries. It is possible to find employment in this field with undergraduate and graduate degrees.
