Academic Program Review
Steering Committee Charge
The mandate of the APRSC is to design
and insure the integrity and openness of the data-gathering and prioritization phase
of the program review. Specifically, the APRSC will be charged with:
- designing the data gathering
process;
- designing the data templates,
criteria for assessment, and the weighting of the criteria;
- monitoring the progress of the
data gathering process;
- designing and implementing a
communications process to keep the campus informed.
Tasks to be completed by the
Steering Committee
1. Develop a working definition
of "program" for purposes of review
2. Develop a list of programs to be reviewed
3. Identify and define criteria for evaluation
4. Develop weighting/measuring for criteria
5. Identify the data/infomation to be collected
6. Develop the format/template for data collection and reporting
7. Develop a timeline for tasks to be accomplished to March 31 (submission of data
to deans)
8. Design, implement and execute an ongoing communications strategy for the review
process
9. Monitor progress of data collection and reporting
