Professor Conner received a B.A. Degree from Simpson College in 1969 majoring in sociology; a M.A. in sociology from Drake University in 1972, and a Ph.D. in sociology from Iowa State University in 1976. After teaching one year at Iowa State University on a temporary appointment, she came to Drake University in the fall of 1977. She is Director of the Aging Studies Program and teaches courses in gerontology and the family. She is a member of the Gerontological Society of America & the American Society on Aging.
