Mission Statement

The Drake University Continuing Education and Professional Development Department (CEPD) is dedicated to the continuing education and advancement of PreK-12 teachers, athletic coaches, and administrators across North America and beyond. Working with our partner organizations, CEPD develops and delivers high-quality graduate online, face-to-face, self-paced and blended learning opportunities that are timely, practical and rigorous.

Accreditation

Drake University has been on the approved list of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since that association was established in 1913. Since reorganization of the Association in 2000, Drake University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association (312-263-0456, www.ncahlc.org).

Drake will host 25 young African leaders this summer for an intensive six-week Fellowship program focusing on business and entrepreneurship. The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
