Drake Policies and Procedures for Complaints and Appeals

Appeal of a charge of violation of academic integrity (such as charge of plagiarism) must be submitted to the College or School of the instructor who brought the charge and assigned the penalty. College and School Academic Integrity Policies and Procedures
Appeal a grade must be submitted to the College or School of the instructor who assigned the Grade. College and School Grade Appeal Policies and Procedures
Complaints alleging violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Policies and procedures for obtaining accommodations and for filing complaints are available in the Drake University Reasonable Accommodation for Qualified Students with Disabilities Policy.
Harassment Complaints: Individuals who believe they have or may have been sexually harassed or experienced harassment based on race, color, national origin, creed, religion, age, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation should file a complaint with the Director, Human Resources or other person designated by the President. In the event the complaint is against the Director, Human Resources or an employee who directly reports to the Director, Human Resources a complaint may be filed with the Provost or Dean of Students. The full complaint procedures is included in the Drake University Policy on Sexual and Other Discriminatory Harassment.
