Carl Jaokpec is responsible for all sales activity with the federal government for Forest Laboratories, Inc.  Primary interactions are with the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Public Health Service and the Indian Health Service.

Before joining Forest, Jakopec was with Marion Merrell Dow as a Manager of Government Sales, manager of Professional Education & Hospital Sales Representative.  He also practiced community pharmacy prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry.

Jakopec is a member of the American Pharmacists Association and is Chairman & Board Member of the Association of Military Surgeons of The United States - Sustaining Members.  He was also a member of the initial National Commission on the Future of Drake University.

Jakopec earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from Drake University in 1969.
