DOCTORAL-DEGREE-LEVEL PHARMACY PROGRAM

Drake College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences' Doctor of Pharmacy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), 190 South LaSalle Street, Suite 300, Chicago, IL 60603-3466, 312/664-3575; FAX 866/228-2631, web site www.acpe-accredit.org.

Complaints regarding the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences' compliance with accreditation standards may be directed to ACPE:

1. The student who wishes to file a complaint with the pharmacy accrediting organization (ACPE) should do so at: https://www.acpe-accredit.org/complaints/. The college will then be contacted by ACPE for a response.

2. In addition, the student may communicate this to the Drake CPHS via this link. This form will be directed to the Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, where it will be considered, recorded, and a response provided.

3. The file of student complaints will be made available for inspection to ACPE at on-site evaluations, or otherwise at ACPE's written request. The findings of this inspection, and the resulting implication(s) to the accreditation of the professional program, shall be noted in the Evaluation Team Report.

ACCREDITED DOCTORAL-DEGREE-LEVEL OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY PROGRAM

The entry-level occupational therapy doctoral degree program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 6116 Executive Boulevard, Suite 200, North Bethesda, MD 20852-4929. ACOTE’s telephone number c/o AOTA is 301-652-6611 and its Web address is www.acoteonline.org. Graduates of the program will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapist administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). After successful completion of this exam, the individual will be an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR). In addition, all states require licensure in order to practice; however, state licenses are usually based on the results of the NBCOT Certification Examination. Note that a felony conviction may affect a graduate’s ability to sit for the NBCOT certification examination or attain state licensure. Students must complete Level II fieldwork and experiential requirements within 24 months following completion of the didactic portion of the program.

MASTERS-DEGREE-LEVEL ATHLETIC TRAINING PROGRAM

The Drake University Master of Athletic Training program is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), located at 2001 K Street NW, 3rd Floor North Washington, DC 20006; (512) 733-9700; website https://caate.net/. A required comprehensive accreditation review will be conducted during the 2025-2026 academic year.
