Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) Chapter in San Francisco

Congratulations to the team from Drake - Seth Housman, Kejal Patel, Kevin Weber, Jennifer Lose - one of eight finalists that will be competing this week in the national Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee Competition at the annual meeting of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) in San Francisco.  The P&T Competition mimics the process used by hospitals and insurance plans in deciding if a new drug should be placed on their formulary.  The team writes a monograph of the designated drug, assesses it cost-effectiveness and its place in therapy, and formally presents and defends its analysis and recommendation.
