2008 Bill Burke Pharmacy Student Leadership Conference Participants Announced

DES MOINES (January 22, 2008) The Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA) is pleased to announced the 30 student pharmacists who were selected for the 2008 Bill Burke Pharmacy Student Leadership Conference. This year's conference will be held in Iowa City on February 2-3, 2008.

The Bill Burke Pharmacy Student Leadership Conference is an annual program involving students from the Drake University and the University of Iowa Colleges of Pharmacy. The goals of this conference are to instill quality organizational leadership skills, to increase awareness of issues impacting the profession of pharmacy, to encourage development of leadership skills and involvement in professional and community activities, to recognize pharmacy students who have displayed leadership potential, and to improve communication and teamwork skills.
