FAQ
Question: I took my science courses in college a long time ago. Should I retake them as a refresher before applying to the PharmD program?
Answer: It is generally a good idea to retake biology, chemistry, and/or math courses if they were completed more than 7 years ago for a couple of reasons. The Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) is divided into sections that test those areas, and retaking those courses may assist you in achieving a solid test score. Most importantly, retaking those courses may help prepare you better for the demands of the coursework in the professional program.
