Geoffrey Wall, associate professor of pharmacy practice at Drake University,
recently was inducted as a 2008 Fellow of the American College of Clinical
Pharmacy (ACCP) at their annual meeting in Louisville, Ken.
Recognition as a fellow is awarded to ACCP members who have demonstrated a
sustained level of excellence in clinical pharmacy practice and/or research.
Fellow candidates are nominated by their colleagues for substantial
contributions to the ACCP. Candidates undergo an evaluation that examines
criteria such as:
* Patient care service or educational programs developed by the nominee
* Certifications or other credentials earned
* Original research presentations, projects, funding, and publications
* Other professional activities and awards
Wall, who joined Drake's College of Pharmacy and Health Science in 1999, has
shown dedication to teaching, scholarship and the future professional
development of his students. He works with students in the capstone advance
practice rotations and teaches clinical pharmacokinetics and therapeutics.
This May, Wall was named the Levitt Mentor of the Year, a top award for
Drake faculty and staff. In addition, he has been recognized by CPHS as the
Hartig Distinguished Professor and Preceptor of the Year.
The ACCP is a professional and scientific society that provides leadership,
