Parkinson Disease Support Group Elective - Supporting Materials
Dr. Kristin Meyer, Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Drake College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, has developed a quality, turnkey education presentation on prescription medications used to treat Parkinson's Disease. Utilizing live and online training sessions, Drake faculty and staff will train and provide support to Drake student pharmacists (and local community pharmacists) who will deliver this education program to Iowa residents afflicted with Parkinson's disease. These presentations will take place at meetings of 36 support group chapters of the Iowa Parkinson's Information and Referral Center in various locations across the state of Iowa. Students will travel to those support group meetings that are within their general area in the state.
