1 Semester Hour of Graduate Credit COURSE OVERVIEWParent-Athlete-Coach Alliance is designed to assist coaches in developing strategies to foster positive, effective relationships with the parents of the athletes they coach. Course material will guide coaches to explore changing backgrounds and roles of coaches and parents, identify various family dynamics, and to examine the perspectives of coaches, parents, athletes and administrators. The course will also help coaches develop effective communication strategies to use with parents, and ways to encourage appropriate parent involvement in their programs. P.A.C. INSTRUCTORSGreg Dale Tom Keating Tom Keating led the Wahlert Eagles to 10 state titles during his tenure there, becoming the first coach to win 10 state volleyball titles in the state of Iowa. Along with the 10 titles, Debuque Wahlert has been runners-up three times during his 20 years as head coach. This four-time Iowa Conference Coach of the Year has sent more than 20 players into Division I programs. In 1994, he coached the Mizuno High School All-American Team. With more then 700 wins and 11 conference championships, Tom Keating is considered one of the top high school coaches in the country.
