Spring Registration and Course Information

The spring registration period began January 4. It ends April 16, 2012. You may enroll in a maximum of 18 graduate credit hours in one semester through Extension Education.  Although you have up to a year to complete your coursework (please verify course due dates), that time can pass very quickly.  Please recognize that Drake University does not give extensions/additional time past the original due date to finish coursework.

Upon completion, coursework and videotapes or DVD should be sent immediately to Drake University’s Distance Learning Center for grading. Coursework is graded by our instructional team continuously throughout the semester and is graded in the order in which it is received.  Please allow 60 days for your course work to be graded. Although you have one year to complete each course, most coaches complete their work much sooner.

EDEX and EDMA Graduate Credit

Credit from any of our courses may be applicable towards recertification or salary advancement. Refer to your state or local guidelines.

• Courses that have a number starting with EDMA (Educational Masters) may be transferred into the following Drake University School of Education program: Master of Science in Teacher Effectiveness and Professional Development. Check with your Drake University advisor for more details.
  
• Courses that have a number starting with EDEX (Educational Extension) are not transferable into graduate programs at Drake University.

Expedited Grading

The Drake Distance Learning Center does offer expedited grading.  We will grade your materials and report a letter grade to our Registrar within 5 business days after receipt of your course work in our Distance Learning Center.  The expedited grading fee is currently $85.00 per course.   You must place the Expedited Grading Form on top of your course work so it will be clearly visible.
