Teaching Strategies to Increase Math Achievement in Middle School (EDDL 207)

Course Overview
Any math curriculum needs to be coherent and consistent, focusing on problem solving and engaging students as they try to develop required skills to function in the real world as well as pass state and federal exams. The four themes of middle school math curriculum are explored in this course as are strategies to help students learn and understand the math for the classroom and beyond. This course aligns with the NCTM standards and incorporates the Drake Inquiry Project.
