Course Overview
Chances are your student teaching experience only provided minimal experience with maintaining discipline, teaching procedures, establishing routines, constructing assessments, or dealing with negative students, parents, and colleagues. The complex challenges of your first year of school and the best way to manage these challenges are addressed in detail. In this course, you will address these challenges through comprehensive reading assignments, interactive discussions, authentic application of concepts, and thoughtful reflections. As a result of completing this course you will have successful students, a well-run and organized classroom, and confidence in your abilities as a teacher.
