Reading Assessment and Diagnosis: Instructional Interventions (EDDL 295)

Course Overview
This course emphasizes the application of theory and research in developing diagnostic skills. You will learn how to recognize, diagnose, and address reading difficulties students experience within the classroom. This three-fold practicum will help you plan student assessment sessions, score, and analyze test results, apply a diagnostic model to target a specific area of student reading problems, and create and implement a plan of instruction based on student strengths and concerns to facilitate effective student reading.
