Severe Weather Advisor

Spring is here, which means tornado season is right around the corner.  Now is the perfect time to plan for severe spring and summer weather.  It is recommend that you identify tornado shelters both at Drake and at home before a tornado strikes.  Keep an eye out for weather alerts and an ear open for tornado sirens.  Seek shelter immediately if a warning is issued or you hear sirens or see a tornado.

Visit the NOAA tornado page for more details.

Article of the Month

May is National Bicycle Month.

Celebrate by riding your bike places instead of driving.

Cycling is great for your health since it is a cardiovascular activity.  Cycling also gives you an opportunity to relax instead of sitting in rush hour traffic.  Choosing a bike over a car or truck also helps the environment by limiting exhaust gas output and helps you save money by limiting gasoline purchases.
