National Institutes of Health Undergraduate Scholarship Program Deadline: February (Annually) Award: Up to $20,000, scholarships are awarded for one year and can be renewed up to four years Eligibility: Have GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or be within the top 5% of your class. Be U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or qualified non-citizen (eligible to work in U.S.). Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a full-time student for the 2006-2007 academic year at an accredited 4-year undergraduate institution. Be from a disadvantaged background. Disadvantaged background means that you come from a low-income family (see website for more information). Priority is given to students who have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate course work including biology, chemistry, physics, and calculus (or are currently sophomores and/or juniors).
