THESARDELEVENING
Students and Administrators Discussing Enlightening Literature
In the past, President Maxwell has selected such titles as The Life of Pi by Yann Martel, Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski, Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy, Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
To participate in SARDEL, pick up an application from the Honors Lounge or the Honors Office, Medbury 206/209 near the end of the semester. Complete and submit the application to Charlene Skidmore in the Honors Office by the listed due date. Applying the semester before the event allows students a chance to read the book over break so it does not interfere with regular academic coursework. Selected students will be notified before winter/summer break.
A group of approximately fifteen students will be selected to participate in each SARDEL. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated exceptional intellectual curiosity and who have not previously been granted the privilege of participation.
The President will host a dinner for the students, which will be followed by a discussion of the designated book. All will take place at President Maxwell’s house.
Apply now for an evening of good food and enlightening and educational discussion with President Maxwell.
