Smoking Prohibited at Drake University Beginning July 1, 2008
Effective July 1, 2008 Iowa law prohibits smoking anywhere on the entire Drake University campus, including in University owned or leased vehicles and any vehicles parked in University parking lots.  The new law imposes penalties for noncompliance on both the smoker and the institution in the event of a violation.
