International Teaching and Research Interests:

Development, European Union, nationalism, transitions to democracy. Conducted research in several African countries, France, Italy, Spain, Great Britain and several Eastern European countries. Recently published book on the European Union. Current research deals with EU enlargement, EU budgeting and policy implementation.

Hosted 11 year-long Youth for Understanding students and one from Russia sponsored by Future Farmers of America. Member of International Studies Association. Past member of Partners of the Americas.
