Exchange Application Process

Students from partner universities with whom Drake maintains student exchange agreements may apply to spend a semester or year at Drake on exchange.  Click on the items below for more information about the application process.

  • Review and Approval
  • Proof of Finances
  • Visas and Other Requirements (housing contract, health forms, insurance...)
  • English Language Proficiency
  • Course Scheduling
  • Preparing to come to Drake
    Read Information for Admitted Students under “Students and Scholars” at www.drake.edu/international
  • Arrival and Orientation
    Submit  your arrival information form so we can arrange for a volunteer to meet you at the airport.  Plan to arrive at least one day before Orientation.  Orientation dates will be included in the information sent to students who are approved for exchange, but are generally the Wednesday before classes begin in the fall, and the Thursday before classes begin in the spring.  Law Orienation is usually several days earlier.
  • Transcripts from your exchange semester
