Public Health in BotswanaThis course is a summer travel course to Gaborone, Botswana. Botswana provides an excellent case study for exploring public health in the developing world. The course will examine medical, public policy, and community aspects of public health in Botswana in order to help students understand the intricate economic, political, and social factors that shape health outcomes in Botswana as well as other countries This course will involve pre-course reading and writing, lectures and discussion led by local health care providers, public officials, policy experts, and activists in Botswana.
