Studio Policies

  • NO food is allowed in the Studio.
  • NO drinks in open cans, bottles, or containers. (drinks in closed containers are OK)
  • Users must adhere to Drake University's Acceptable Use Policy. This includes, but is not limited to compliance with the Digital Copyright Act and all State and Federal laws pertaining to pornography. Anyone caught violating these policies or laws will be reported to the appropriate authorities and escorted from the facilities immediately.
  • It is the users' responsibility to appropriately save their project. There is a limited amount of drive space available on each workstation and this is routinely cleared off each week. Projects found to be older than 4 days will be purged.
  • Books and resources in the Studio may not be checked out and must remain in the Studio. Please see the Equipment Available page for a detailed listing of what may or may not be checked out of the Studio.
  • The Studio does not have media to lend or for sale. (Blank CDs/DVDs, portable HDs, etc.)
  • Top priority is given to academic projects. Users may also use the Studio to develop personal projects IF no one is using the Studio for academic purposes. In the event that someone is working on a personal project when a second person arrives, the person with the personal project will need to relinquish the equipment.
  • Users are not required to make reservations, however, priority is given to those users who have reserved space for specific dates and times. If a person holding a reservation fails to arrive within 15 minutes of their appointed time and does not contact the Instructional Technology Specialist, they loose their claim to the equipment.
