OIT Services The Office of Information Technology provides a variety of networked services to support the instructional, research and administrative activities of Drake University students, faculty and staff.

These include e-mail services, an online learning environment, access to the information system, server space for personal and professional web pages and a calendar.

• blueView is the University portal where students, faculty and staff can login to access import communication from Drake University as well as access other services via single sign on.  Email, Blackboard and MyDUSIS (covered below) are all accessible from within blueView.
  
  
• E-mail accounts are provided for all students, faculty, staff and emeriti.  These are used for all official university e-mail communications.  They may be accessed using a desktop client, such as Eudora, Outlook or Apple Mail or over the web using a browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari.  Learn how to acquire and configure an e-mail client, protect your computer from e-mail viruses and spam, look up e-mail addresses and set up vacation notices.
  
  
• Drake University uses the Blackboard Academic Suite to support its online learning environment.  Learn more about what it is, how to log in and where to go if you have trouble.
  
  
• The Drake University Shared Information System is a database of the information necessary to run the university.  MyDUSIS is your personal, web accessible entrance into the Drake University information system.  You may view and modify selected information, stored on your behalf in connection with your role as a Drake student, faculty or staff member.
