E-mail Account Information
Student Accounts
Student e-mail accounts are generated automatically following registration for classes and do not require any action on the part of the student. Students may locate their e-mail usernames by accessing Drake MyDUSIS. Login to blueView, Click on MyDUSIS folder, Click Personal Information Folder, Click View E-mail Addresses, your e-mail address will display in the next window.

The password for an e-mail account is the same as the password used to login to blueView. All passwords can be changed through the password gateway.
Students should familiarize themselves with Drake University Student E-mail Policies. The disk space on the mail server occupied by mail messages may be checked by accessing the Webmail client. In the upper Left corner under your login name is a gauge. Hover over the gauge to show your quota:

Student e-mail accounts are retained for one year after graduation. If a student withdraws from the University, the account will be removed once we are notified by the Student Records and Academic Information Office.
Contact the Drake Service Center (X3001) or noc@drake.edu for support or special requests.
Faculty and Staff Accounts
An application form for requesting faculty, staff, student staff and office e-mail accounts is available on the web. Applicants must provide their name, classification, department, office phone and Drake ID so that it may be verified. By the end of the next business day, we will contact the applicant by phone with e-mail account information.
Faculty and staff should familiarize themselves with Drake University Faculty, Staff and Emeriti E-Mail Policies. E-mail accounts for staff who leave the University, including retirees, will be removed very shortly after the date of separation from the University. Questions on this should be directed to noc@drake.edu.
Faculty who leave the University should contact the Drake Service Center (X3001) or noc@drake.edu for arrangements prior to transition arrangements. Otherwise, arrangements will be made based upon conversation with the appropriate Dean's office.
Emeritus Faculty Accounts
Faculty who transition to the status of emeritus may retain their e-mail accounts. Emeriti who do not wish to retain their Drake e-mail account or who, instead, want their messages forwarded to some other account should contact noc@drake.edu so that the proper arrangements may be made. Normally, emeriti are not included in the Drake University bulk mailing lists. We periodically review account usage and may verify at a later date that the account is still needed. Emeriti should familiarize themselves with Drake University Faculty, Staff and Emeriti E-Mail Policies.
