Drake to host Halloween Hoops Oct. 24

Girl participates in face-paintingDrake University will host the annual Halloween Hoops event on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 6-8 p.m., at the Bell Center on Drake’s campus (1421 27th Street).

The event is free and open to all Des Moines-area children ages 3-11.

Co-hosted by the Drake Law School Public Service Scholars and Drake Student Alumni Association, Halloween Hoops is a fun, safe, and family-friendly community event.

Various activities are planned, including face painting, basketball, games, and, for the first time, a bouncy house. Pizza and cupcakes will be served.

Children are encouraged, but not required, to wear a costume or orange attire.

All participating children must have a parent/guardian release form signed. Please download and fill out the Halloween Hoops Release Form.

The Drake University 2018 Engaged Citizen Conference, “Nourishing (Feeding) the World,” is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 22, and Friday,  Feb. 23 in Drake’s Olmsted Center. Admission is free.
