The Landowners's Guide to Sustainable Farm Leasing

The Sustainable Agriculture and Land Tenure Initiative is a joint project by Drake's Agricultural Law Center and the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture at Iowa State University.

It is intended to assist landowners and farmers in developing farm lease arrangements that are profitable and sustainable for the landowner, farmer, community, and the land.

The initiative analyzes existing data and information on land ownership patterns; private contracts affecting farmland, including farm lease agreements, recreational leases, ecosystem service contracts, and farm management agreements; and local and state policies that impact agricultural sustainability and stewardship.

Visit the Sustainable Agriculture and Land Tenure Initiative website.
