Only a few years out of law school, Latrice Lacey fights for civil rights in her community as executive director of the Davenport Civil Rights Commission, which works to investigate discrimination complaints and provide civil rights education.

When Eleasalo "Salo" Va’alele Ale left American Samoa to attend college, he hoped to someday return to the islands to serve his community. His wish would come true. Salo's journey led from Drake Law School to Hawaii to Minnesota before coming home to serve as Attorney General of American Samoa.

Phillip Maroc found his calling working for Silicon Valley technology companies. He is now senior legal counsel at Adobe Systems Inc., a multinational computer software company headquartered in San Jose, Calif., that has created well-known products such as Photoshop and Acrobat.
