Individual Award Criteria

 

Top First-Year Students
These awards are given to first-year students who are involved in campus activities. The students show scholastic aptitude, commitment to the Drake community and leadership potential.

Top Sophomores
These awards are given to second year students who have demonstrated leadership abilities and involvement in the campus community. They are scholastically in good standing with the University.

Top Juniors (or DP1)
These awards are given to third year students who have demonstrated leadership abilities and involvement in the campus community. They are scholastically in good standing with the University.

Top Seniors (or DP2-DP4)
These awards are given to seniors and pharmacy (DP2-DP4) students who have made extraordinary contributions through leadership and involvement in the Drake community. They have demonstrated their commitment in making Drake a better place. Their academic and extracurricular involvement, as well as their character, exemplifies the best in all Drake students.

Oreon E. Scott Award - Outstanding Senior at Drake
The Oreon E. Scott Award recipient is considered to be the outstanding senior student at Drake. The winner will speak at Commencement. Excellence in scholarship, leadership, service and involvement are hallmarks of the Oreon E. Scott Award winner. This award requires additional supporting information and was announced earlier under a separate message.
