SPEAKER TO DISCUSS POLYGAMY IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Adrien Wing, the Bessie Dutton Murray distinguished professor of law at the University of Iowa, will present a lecture on polygamy in the 21st century in Britain, South Africa and the United States, and its implications for women of color.

The event is presented by the Critical Studies of Culture Program and the Center for the Humanities and will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Drake University in the Honors Lounge in Medbury Hall, 1317 28th Street.

The lecture, which is free and open to the public, is titled “Polygamy from Southern Africa to Black Britannia to Black America: Global Critical Race Feminism as Legal Reform for the 21st Century.”
