DRAKE SERIES TO FEATURE POET DEBRA MARQUART

Poet and author Debra Marquart, associate professor of English and coordinator of the creative writing program at Iowa State University, will read from her work at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, in Drake University's Honors Lounge in Medbury Hall, 1317 28th St.

Marquart is the author of "The Hunger Bone: Rock & Roll Stories" and two collections of poetry: "Everything’s a Verb" and "From Sweetness." She also is poetry editor of Flyway Literary Review.

The reading, which is part of the Drake Writers and Critics Series, is sponsored by the Drake English Department and the Drake Center for the Humanities.
