| Preparing for 'modern pharmacy' It was November 1951, and the cover of North Western Druggist featured a photo of Fitch Hall. The cover story on the Drake University College of Pharmacy, as it was called at that time, included a discussion of the College's history, facilities and curriculum, and noted, "Indicative of the complete range of courses at the college are a series of electives in drug-store management, arranged through the co-operation [sic] of the college of business administration. The sequence of courses includes drug store accounting, sales promotion and store management. … The wide coverage of both business and professional areas of pharmacy at Drake enables the graduate to solve intelligently and skillfully the problems encountered in modern pharmacy."
