DON’T WAIT FOR THE RAIN TO START SINGING, DRAKE FACULTY SAY
If chopsticks and the easy part of “Heart and Soul” are all you
can manage on the piano or if the only way you’ll stretch your vocal cords
is in the shower or with the stereo at top volume, Drake University has the
thing for you.
The Drake University Community School of Music summer session is under way.
Private instruction is available for children and adults at all levels in piano,
voice (age 15 and older), strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion and music theory.
All instructors have a bachelor’s degree in their area of specialty and
most have master’s degrees and some have doctorates.
Tuition is $20 for a half-hour lesson with a $20 enrollment fee for new students.
So blow the dust off that old high school trombone case in the basement or help
your young musician shake off the summer blahs with quality music lessons from
some of the masters of their field.
To obtain more information or to enroll, call the Drake University Community
School of Music office at (515) 271-4011.
