DRAKE STUDENT EXHIBITION CONTINUES THROUGH APRIL 5

Five Drake students are displaying their work in the Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition at the Anderson Gallery and adjacent Weeks Gallery from Friday, March 15, through April 5.

The students are Devin Berryhill (drawing), Meredith Brignadello (art history), Jennifer Chojnacki (graphic design), Pete Holm (graphic design) and Connie Webb (painting and graphic design).

Brignadello has curated an exhibit of rare art books that reveals the intersecting worlds of poet Ted Hughes and Leonard Baskin, a sculptor, painter, printmaker and bookmaker. Brignadello will give a gallery talk on "The Collaboration of Leonard Baskin and Ted Hughes: A Fusion of Visual and Literary Excellence" at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28, in the Anderson Gallery.

The opening reception for the entire exhibition will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 29. Both galleries are in the Harmon Fine Arts Center, 25th Street and Carpenter Avenue. Gallery hours: noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Call 271-2268.

For more information about the exhibition and the gallery, call (515) 271-1994 or send an e-mail message to cira.pascual-marquina@drake.edu.
