SINGER/SONGWRITER TO GIVE LECTURE AND PERFORMANCE ON WOMEN IN MUSIC
Singer, songwriter and guitarist Judy Gorman will give a lecture titled "The
History of Women and Music" Wednesday, Nov. 13, in Sheslow Auditorium in Old
Main, 26th Street and University Avenue. In her talk, she will discuss outstanding
women in music history and their roles and contributions.
Gorman also will give a performance of songs by, about, against and for women at
9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at Cool Beans, a coffeehouse in Hubbell Dining Hall, 1344
29th St. Both events are free and open to the public.
The New York resident is a high-intensity performer whose songs get their wings from
her imagination and their roots from folk, blues, jazz and gospel music. For more
