Regarding academic regalia, please contact the University Book Store at 515-214-2151.

Ceremony Notes for Faculty

Your attendance and ceremonial participation is important to the commencement events. When asked by your dean concerning your attendance, please R.S.V.P. to your college/school as requested. This will ensure you a seat in the faculty seating area.

Please assemble in the Bell Center gym 45 minutes prior to the start of each ceremony:

     Undergraduate Ceremony: Arrive no later than 9:15 a.m.
     Graduate Ceremony: Arrive no later than 1:15 p.m.

The faculty marshals will direct the lineup for the processional.

The Pharmacy & Health Sciences faculty receive instructions from CPHS concerning the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Doctoral Hooding and Commencement.

The Law faculty receive instructions from Kris Magill concerning the Law School Commencement.

Special note:

Please do not bring to the ceremonies any objects that contain latex.

At least one of our current Drake students has a latex allergy.  Exposure to latex in certain forms may be life threatening.  Therefore, we ask that you do not bring any latex objects, such as latex balloons, to any of the commencement ceremonies.

If you have latex items that are medically related and need to be used at any of the ceremonies, please contact the Office of the Registrar at 515-271-2025.
