About US

As a division of the Marketing & Communications Office, Web Communications handles several different services for the University.

  • Manages and develops the top-level pages and templates of the University Web site.
  • Approves Web space requests on the University's main Drake.edu server.
  • Manages and approves online logo and branding usage, including digital use of registered University logos.
  • Provides consulting and/or assistance in creation of official University Web pages, including modified templates for Content Management System(CMS), navigation and content.

With the advent of the current CMS and Portal Project and the reworking of the current University Web Policy, the role of Web Communications will transform as the Web site transforms. There are a lot of new projects on the horizon that will dramatically effect the landscape of the Drake.edu Web site. As that change happens, our office will continue to provide service and assistance with Web design, content evaluation and “in-house consultant” roll for any Web related questions.
