Movement Matters is a 7-week wellness program, designed to get you moving! Physical activity is one of the best ways to keep yourself in good health, and this program will focus on just that - your health! This program will be held betwen July 6 and August 21 and is free! the objective of the program is to accumulate the total mileage of RAGBRAI - 462 miles, in points. Any, and all, physical activity will work and will earn you points! Once you sign up for the program you will receive the materials with how the program works, how to accumulate points and also a recording sheet. Everyone that completes the goals, there are 7, will receive incentive prizes for each goal reached as well as a t-shirt. Everyone that earns a t-shirt will also be entered into the drawing for Fitbit. Get yourself, and your colleagues, signed up TODAY! To register please contact Jana Peterson by July 6.
Lace up your walking shoes and join others on campus for a group walk (or run). Walking is a great form of exercise and we have a great place to get active right on our campus. See how easy and fun it is to get ative during your day! Each walk will be just a quick 10 - 15 minute wlk, with the exception of August 4, which will be 30 minutes.
During the sessions you will have the opportunity to hear Drake Wellness staff or local experts present on various wellness related topics. Please RSVP for the event email@example.com. You are encouraged to bring your own lunch for the noon sessions.
