All of the rental units are located on the outskirts of the campus and within walking distance of campus. If you rent from us, you will be close to all the campus activities. There are several local businesses in the area that will meet your needs.
Some of the University properties are older homes that have been converted into apartments; many are single-family homes. We have several one and two bedroom apartments and a few three bedroom apartments. We also have two and three bedroom houses and a few four bedroom houses and one five bedroom house.
In the houses, the tenant is responsible for all of the utilities, including gas, electric, trash, and water. We pay for water and trash in all of the apartments. In some of the apartments, the tenant is responsible for gas and electric; in others, Drake pays for gas and electric. The tenant is responsible for the telephone and internet service fees.
The rental units have a stove and refrigerator already installed. Most houses have central air conditioning or window air conditioning units can be installed at the tenant's expense with the landlord's permission. The rental units are not furnished; it is the tenant's responsibility to furnish the unit.
We are fully staffed to meet your needs. Most work orders are completed within two days from the time it is requested. We can be contacted for emergencies 24 hours a day; a service person will make the necessary repairs.
