World Languages & Cultures

The mission of the Drake University Department of World Languages and Cultures fully supports the mission of the broader University by fostering the development of globally responsible students.

Our program will provide you with mentorship as you gain functional competence in a language other than English, develop cultural understanding, and become a responsible global citizen. By emphasizing speaking skills, the program prepares you to study or live abroad, enhance your professional development, and pursue personal interests.
