Careers

Accounting is considered one of the most versatile degrees in the business field, and job opportunities for accountants are expected to grow, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Our alumni practice across the country and around the world.

You might decide to stay put after graduation, and Drake’s location in Des Moines offers countless opportunities for internships, professional development, and careers. Des Moines is considered one of the world’s capitals of insurance and financial services, and is home to numerous other industries and several Fortune 500 companies.

Des Moines is also recognized for its excellent economic outlook and inviting environment for young professionals. Forbes named the city the “No. 1 best place for business and careers,” and SmartAsset named Des Moines one of the top 10 U.S. cities for new graduates.

In addition to the professional staff in Drake’s Professional and Career Development Center, Career bluePrint is available to all current students and alumni to help them advance their career and find job openings.
