NCAA Division I Athletic Scholarships

Division I Athletic Scholarships are offered to outstanding student athletes in both men's and women's sports. Men's scholarships are awarded in basketball, soccer, track and field, cross-country, golf and tennis. Women's scholarships are available in basketball, track and field, cross-country, golf, soccer, volleyball, softball, and tennis. Contact the coach of the sport in which you participate to obtain information on athletic scholarship opportunities.

Visit GoDrakeBulldogs.com for more information about athletics at Drake.

Awards are based on a variety of criteria depending on the type of scholarship and are not based on financial need.

Scholarship Details

Athletic scholarships are available for athletes in the sports of basketball, soccer, track & field, cross-country, golf, tennis, rowing, softball, and volleyball. Students interested in competing at Drake can find more information at godrakebulldogs.com.

Athletic scholarship recipients must be degree-seeking students and be otherwise eligible to compete in the NCAA. Students receiving athletic scholarships are not eligible for the Drake Grant.

In accordance with Pioneer Football League rules, athletic scholarships are not available for football.

All scholarships require full-time enrollment (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester) and satisfactory academic progress. Individual scholarships may have additional eligibility or application requirements.

Undergraduate scholarships are available only to students enrolled at the undergraduate level, for up to 4 years total or until a Bachelor's degree is earned (whichever comes first). Students entering one of Drake's joint undergraduate/graduate degree paths should refer to Program-Specific Policies to understand which years are designated as undergraduate-level for billing and financial aid purposes. Scholarships will renew automatically if all renewal requirements are satisfied.
